Senior Customer Service Specialist

Bożena works at LEONI as a Senior Customer Service Specialist.

My story at LEONI

My beginnings at LEONI were challenging: there were changes in the department, implementation of a new system, and reorganization of the warehouse. It required twice as much work from me, but it also helped strengthen bonds with other employees. I had to ask a lot of questions, but thanks to that, I got to know many people in the company.

Customer Service (CS) offers various types of training to help us manage stress or learn how to work with clients from around the world. It is important to understand the different cultures of the people we interact with daily. My ability to learn quickly led to me being responsible for training new employees and facilitating team integration. After 1.5 years of work, I was promoted to Senior Customer Service Specialist.

My job

Beginning of the day

The beginning of every day always looks the same. When I get to work, I turn on my computer and first check my email. After reading the emails from the previous day, I download the orders from the internal system and edit them. Customers like to receive confirmations quickly and that's why this is my morning priority. After replying to e-mails and confirming orders, I can treat myself to a coffee to celebrate a good start to the day.

Lunch break

Around 12:00, the whole department goes out to dinner together - this is our little celebration of shared moments. I try to cover all important topics by this hour. I am in constant contact with clients and colleagues.
My daily tasks include accepting and confirming orders, helping to speed up or delay deliveries, and accepting possible complaints. I think I can safely say that I am the first and last person in the supply chain.

End of the day

When I know that my clients are taken care of and all tasks for the day have been completed, I can finish my work. This is usually 3:00 p.m.
I think the most exciting thing about my job is meeting new people from all over the world. When they talk about their company, work, private life and culture. Sometimes they send photos from the places where they live and work, and also teach me new words.

My highlights

There have been many good days, but one stands out in my mind: when a major, escalating client thanked me for my work and said that he had no better contact person than me. I must admit, I felt like I grew 3 cm taller that day.

The most exciting part of my job is meeting new people from all over the world. They share stories about their company, their work, and their personal lives. They send pictures of the places they live, or teach me new words.

My view of LEONI as an employer

I decided to work in LEONI because of the distance from home, in my case it is 7 minutes, which makes commuting much easier. Additionally, it is a company with an established position on the market. A big advantage is the ability to work remotely, which has saved my life more than once.

My tips

My advice to new employees: don't be afraid to ask questions and be smiling. Remember these 3 magic words, they come in handy too!
