My story at LEONI
My name is Karol and I have been working at LEONI since July 2023. I started working at LEONI as an Intern in the HR Department. My tasks include organizing and taking care of internal events, designing and proofreading information materials for employees, editing social media posts, and organizing and conducting job interviews.
When my internship ended after 3 months of work and I turned out to be a valuable member of the team, the management decided to extend my contract for another 3 months on a contract basis. I am grateful to LEONI for such an opportunity, because thanks to this contract I can combine studies with work and at the same time gain valuable experience.
Working at LEONI is actually my first serious job, previously I gained experience mainly in catering, or as a driver in various stores and companies, so I came here as a total novice, knowing practically nothing about working in HR. The main motivation was to gain valuable experience that would help me on my career path and complete mandatory internships at the university.
My job
In the beginning, my main responsibilities included designing informational materials for employees, organizing documents, and participating in interviews with a colleague from the department. However, as I continued to work, gained experience, familiarized myself with the organization's structure, learned the principles of HR work better, and attended short training sessions, I began to receive more challenging tasks.
About two weeks into my job, I had my first job interview, which went quite well. My colleagues began to see potential in me, and I was offered a contract extension for another three months (and then we'll see what happens next). I'm grateful to LEONI for everything I've learned here, as I finally have a job that I look forward to coming to, and I feel like a valuable member of the organization, not just another temporary position.
Undoubtedly, the best aspect of my job is the constant stream of new challenges. At LEONI, individuals quickly earn a lot of trust and are entrusted with significant responsibilities. Personally, I can attest that during my three-month internship, I was responsible for numerous interesting projects and had the opportunity to try many new things, which makes me feel like I have gained at least a year's worth of experience working in HR.
My highlights
First of all - no new task will be assigned to you without prior training and making sure that you know what you are doing and how to do it, and if you get lost along the way and you are not sure if you are doing it right, you can always ask someone from the department for help and you will definitely receive it.
Secondly, LEONI offers a wide training package from which each employee can choose the training that interests him the most and will be most useful at work.
Additionally, LEONI itself organizes internal training for employees who need to learn new skills.
Definitely my most exciting moment at LEONI was implementing this particular project! When we were given the task of preparing a new "career" tab, this task was assigned to me.
My view of LEONI as an employer
The atmosphere at LEONI is one of those things that strongly motivates me every day to get up in the morning and come to work. Every person here is not only competent but also polite and helpful. This is possible thanks to the relaxed atmosphere introduced by the management, which treats us as equals and not just as another corporate employee.
